      Generic Alternative Decision Module

      Generic Alternative Decision Module

Pharmacists have access to our Generic Alternative Decision Module, a useful tool within Convergence Rx that suggests cost-beneficial equivalency substitutions for items utilized during order fulfillment. Equivalencies are medication items, or combinations of items, that are used as a substitute for an ordered item. Examples include using multiple doses of one medication to equal a higher strength of the same medication; using a generic equivalent medication as a substitute; and using a therapeutic equivalent medication to substitute for a medication of the same therapeutic category.
