The Fairfield County ADAMH Board allows all agencies—whether in network or not—to work collaboratively, ensuring all mental health and substance use needs are addressed in the county.
ADAMH stands for Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health, and the board is statutorily mandated in the state of Ohio to plan, develop programs, fund, and evaluate the behavioral health needs in the entire county.
There are no socioeconomic or demographic boundaries with behavioral health needs. A person can be young or old, rich or poor, and have the most supportive family and friends, and still require mental health or substance use treatment.
Offer to serve as a support person for someone in treatment and never criticize or degrade them for seeking help. Encourage them and always have a can-do attitude even amidst their darkest hours. Be a guiding light on their journey to wellness!
